3 Way Conferences

Hi 3/4F Families,

Three way conferences are attended by the teacher, student and parent/s. They will be held on Thursday 25th and Tuesday 30th July. For the first time, interview times (excluding EAL interviews) will be booked using an online booking system. The system has a ‘first in best dressed’ approach, so book early. Times are filling up fast, so please book in as soon as possible if you have not already. These meetings will be led by your child who will show you some of the work they are proud of this year. We look forward to meeting with you and your child to discuss their achievements and areas of improvement.
Thanks.

What's On This Week (Term 3 - Week 2)

The first week of term is behind us and we have already learnt lots of new things. In week 2, we will continue our focus on poetry and we will take an adventure to a new land of discovery and write poems from the perspective of an explorer. In literacy we take a look at verbs and adverbs while in Maths, we examine subtraction. We explore explorers by looking at the Era of Exploration between 1400 and 1800 A.D and make a time line of their expeditions. Another busy week ahead.

What's Happening - Term 3, Week 1

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready to get back into learning! This term our topic is called 'First Contacts'. We will examine explorers and The First Fleet. In week 1, we will introduce the topic. In maths we will be working on addition, specifically addition strategies. In English we focus on nouns and adjectives and begin to look at poetry. The children should have brought home their learing goals in their homework books to work on at home. There is also a sheet for parents to complete when your child has worked on them. A fun filled week.
