Measuring length with paper planes

This week, we have been learning about measurement. After doing some informal measuring in the class, and learning about how to read and use a measuring instrument like a rule and a tape measure, we headed outside to test our skills. That's right we threw paper planes! Not just for fun of course, but to see whose plane could go the furthest. We measured the distance with measuring tapes and wrote our four attempts into our maths books. Next stop: graphing the data to see whose plane went the further. The unofficial MPS record now stands at just over 21m. FUN!
